(Wesley), (PHS) and ����ţţ  recently unveiled , a new 405,992 square-foot senior living community within the vibrant master-planned community of Tehaleh by Newland in Bonney Lake. A dedication ceremony was held on Friday, September 10, for partners and stakeholders to celebrate the project’s completion.    

“This new community has been in the works for over three years,” said Kevin Anderson, president and CEO of Wesley. “We’ve worked with PHS for many years, so we’re excited to have them as joint owners in this Wesley community. This was our first time working with Cuningham Group Architecture (CGA) and ����ţţ, and they were a great team to have as we navigated though this project and expanded Wesley’s ministry and mission.”

The 4,700-acre, master-planned Tehaleh development has flourished over the past decade and over time has seen an increased demand for senior living. PHS and Wesley formed their partnership based on aligned values and goals with a focus on creating an atmosphere for seniors to thrive in a modern community and among nature. ����ţţ supported this vision by constructing the new senior living community on 16.82 acres, which includes two buildings: Lodge and Brownstone. The Lodge contains 18 memory care apartments, 136 independent living apartments and 42 catered living apartments. The Brownstone offers an additional 32 independent living, condo-style residences.

Jon Fletcher, vice president of Senior Housing Partners, the project development arm of PHS said, “We are so pleased to be a part of creating so many well-designed apartment homes in such a beautiful community within Tehaleh and Bonney Lake. Through this shared ministry with Wesley, our two organizations are expanding a mission of service to the growing population of older adults. We know that the residents of Wesley at Tehaleh will have a significant impact on the community surrounding them and vice-versa.”

“This project was a great opportunity for ����ţţ to expand our senior living expertise into Washington and build a community that will positively impact the lives of future residents in the Seattle area,” said Bret Jordan, northwest regional president, ����ţţ. “Through dedication and teamwork, we were able to balance the design requirements, ultimate vision and varying elevations of the site in order to bring this project to life.”

The community’s architecture, designed by , encapsulates the splendor of the Pacific Northwest highlighted by modern elements within a thoughtfully landscaped environment. The community features a bistro, chapel, wellness center, fitness room, movie theatre, library, patio, pickleball court and a bridged pond plus two craft rooms, two club rooms and two dining rooms. Among the many amenities available, residents will have views of Mount Rainier to the east and the Olympic mountain range to the west. The surrounding landscape features miles of tree-lined walking trails, connecting Wesley to the larger Tehaleh development.

����ţţ has completed 54 senior living communities throughout the country, and of those projects has developed 27 of those projects. ����ţţ’s western division senior living portfolio currently consists of 10 projects throughout Washington, Colorado, Arizona and California.

The Tehaleh community is owned in a joint venture partnership between North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH), and Newland, the master developer of the community.
